The subject of Conservative Dentistry is taught under four programmes; namely Operative Dentistry, Endodontics, Fixed
Prosthodontics and Dental Materials and Dental Technology which covers the properties and behaviour of related materials.The course begins in the first semester of the second year after the first professional
examination and continues right through the third, fourth and final year.
Postgraduate programmes
in Conservative Dentistry started with its first intake in 1997.The MDSc is a one
year (minimum) programme by research while the Master in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) is a 4-year programme leading to a
specialist degree.
